Welcome Reception
Olympic Museum, Thursday 7 September 2017



The Olympic Museum is set in stunning grounds on the banks of Lake Leman. The recently renovated Museum will act as a centre piece to allow delegates to meet, socialise and experience the magic of the Olympic Games and the Olympic Movement. Everyone has a personal Olympic hero and this event will allow us to share special moments from Olympic history. 

Registration is free of charge for congress participants, however for catering purposes we kindly ask you to register during the on-line registration process. More information about the musuem via: www.olympic.org/museum


Dinner Dance

Grandvaux, Friday 8 September 2017



Buses will leave from the congress centre to bring you to Grandvaux where the dinner will take place. The evening will start with a welcome drink from the local wine growers and a traditional Swiss Fondue. After the aperitif the dinner will take place in two different venues in Grandvaux. After the dinner the dance party will start! Afterwards buses will bring you back to Lausanne. Price: € 70.00 per person

CGN Cruise on Lake Geneva
Date: Thursday 7 September 2017, 11:20-15:20 hrs.
(A minimum of 20 participants is required - maximum of 40 participants)
Price: € 70.00 per person  

Fully renovated in 2009, our flagship has been described as the most beautiful steamer in the world! The restoration of its first-class lounge is a real masterpiece. Be sure not to miss the chance to admire its mythical figureheads at the bow and stern, sculpted in wood and entirely covered in gold leaf. The cruise will last approx. 3.5 hours. Please note that the boat has a very strict schedule and needs to leave at 11:40 am sharp. For this reason, we kindly ask you to be at least at the dock at 11:20 am. Participants should make their way to the harbor in Ouchy, Lausanne. www.cgn.ch. Guided City of Lausanne - Walking Tour

Date: Friday 8 September 2017, 09:00-11:00 hrs. 
(A minimum of 20 participants is required - maximum of 40 participants)
Price: € 20.00 per person 



During this 2-hour city walking tour, you will discover many faces of Lausanne: the medieval district of the City, the visit of the cathedral, which is a jewel of Swiss Gothic architecture. You will also discover the Castle, Headquarter of the authorities for six centuries, the ancient Academy; the hotspot of the reformation in the 16th century. From the hill of the City, the descent by the picturesque staircases of the Market up to the place of Palud, the city hall and the fountain of the Justice and Saint-François, heart of the city. Click here for more information. 

Wine-tasting excursion to Lavaux
Saturday 9 September 2017, 15:15-18:00 hts. 
(A minimum of 30 participants is required - maximum of 40 participants)
Price: € 60.00 per person, bus transportaion included. 



The terraced vineyards of the Lavaux site unfold above Lake Geneva for some 30 kilometers, forming a real link between Lausanne and Vevey-Montreux. Not only does the listed status of Lavaux as a UNESCO World Heritage site pay tribute to an age-old vineyard, it is also a living “cultural landscape”, a remarkable testimony to an authentic and dynamic civilization. This excursion includes a visit to a wine cellar “La Croix-Duplex in Grandvaux”, where participants will learn about and taste the region’s wine and culinary specialties.
