Dr. David D. Duclos, DVM, DACVD received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from St. Martin’s College, in Lacey WA. And his degree in Veterinary Medicine, (DVM) from Washington State University, in Pullman, WA. After graduation, he was engaged in private clinical practice in Forks, WA before going to the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA, for his dermatology residency. After his dermatology residency, he attained board-certification status, and moved back to the Northwest as the owner and clinical dermatologist at the Animal Skin & Allergy Clinic north of Seattle, WA. Where he has been practicing private clinical veterinary dermatology for 30 years and has been using the CO2 laser since then. He is well known in the veterinary dermatology specialty for his expertise in the CO2 laser. He has authored a number of book chapters and scientific papers on various subjects in Veterinary Dermatology. He is a clinical affiliate with the Western University School of Veterinary Medicine and teaches senior veterinary students for 4 week rotations in the Dermatology Clinic. Additionally at the Animal Skin & Allergy clinic he trains residents and interns who have an interest in the Veterinary Dermatology Specialty. He also lectures on various subjects in the Veterinary Dermatology in the US, Canada and Europe.
