Elisa Maina
Elisa Maina, DVM, PhD, DipECVD, is a European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology. She graduated from the University of Milan in 2008, completed her residency in dermatology, and became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD) in 2015. In 2018, she obtained a PhD in Immunology, supported by the prestigious BOF research grant awarded in 2012. That same year, she also earned a postgraduate specialty degree with honors (cum laude) in Small Animal Pathology and Clinic from the University of Milan.
Elisa is currently Professor of Dermatology and Head of the Dermatology Service at the Vetsuisse Faculty, University of Bern. With extensive expertise in dermatology, otology, and allergology, she has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and is the author of a veterinary dermatology textbook.
She is a frequent speaker at international congresses and served as Chair of the ECVD Credential Committee from 2021 to 2024. She currently holds the position of Past Chair and serves on the Scientific Committee for the ESVD/ECVD Congresses.
