Ana Oliveira, a veterinarian and dermatologist, holds a degree in veterinary medicine from the Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. She earned a Master's degree in Medical Parasitology at the Instituto de Higiene e Medicina Tropical da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She pursued further studies by becoming a Diplomate by the European College of Veterinary Dermatology and a European Specialist by the European Board of Veterinary Specialization after a residency at the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies University of Edinburgh. After specialization, she completed her Ph.D. in Veterinary Science at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. She worked in US has a Clinical Assistant Professor in Dermatology at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University, USA and in Portugal at the Faculdade Medicina Veterinária da Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. Dr Oliveira currently serves has the Chair of the National Representatives of the European Board of Veterinary Specialization and, locally as the President of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Dermatologia Veterinária. She works has a consultant at DNAtech laboratory and has a referral dermatologist in Hospital Arco Cego in Lisbon. Ana is a frequent speaker in international and local scientific meetings.
