Aiden Foster

Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Dermatology and Pathology
University of Bristol

Aiden studied biology and veterinary science at the universities of Nottingham and Bristol, UK. He trained as a veterinary dermatologist at Bristol where he gained a PhD and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA); gaining the diploma ACVD in 1998.

He is a Honorary member of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology reflecting his contributions to the discipline, including 14 years as the senior editor for the journal Veterinary Dermatology. He served on the ESVD board for 10 years including a term as president.

He is president of the British Deer Veterinary Association (a BVA specialist division, in the UK). He worked for a government agency (APHA) and the University of Bristol doing livestock surveillance work for 17 years.

Aiden has substantial experience of training and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate veterinarians and nurses about deer, dermatology, parasitology and livestock pathology.
